This tournament directly benefited the Greater Youth Sports Association (GYSA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children in underserved communities by providing them with access to sports, leadership training, and academic support.

This year, Miller Personal Injury Attorneys had the honor of sponsoring the REPS & STEPS’ Paws and Patriots event, supporting veterans and the dogs that will serve them. Thanks to Miller Personal Injury Attorneys, REPS & STEPS completed 50 meal kits for the non-profit U.S. Vets Las Vegas, a transitional housing program for veterans. REPS & STEPS also surpassed their goal of $3,000 for R.W.B. Dog Tags, a non-profit whose mission is to train service dogs for military veterans. These loyal companions offer emotional and physical support, positively impacting the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

There is something special about being in a room full of young people who are just beginning to imagine what their futures could look like. That was the energy at this year’s Future Festival at Sedway Middle School, and Miller Personal Injury Attorneys was proud to be part of it.

The event was more than a resource fair. It was a celebration of possibility. Students explored career paths and received hands-on advice about college admissions, resume writing, and interview skills. We were invited to speak and had the chance to share what a career in law actually looks like beyond what you see on TV. We talked about the value of strong communication, how empathy and integrity matter just as much as strategy, and why you do not need to have everything figured out at thirteen in order to build a meaningful path forward.

For us, it was not just about explaining what we do. It was about encouraging students to ask questions, trust their instincts, and understand that their unique life experiences are assets, not obstacles. Every student in that room had a spark, and we left feeling inspired by their eagerness to learn and grow.

We are grateful to have been included in an event that brought together educators, community leaders, and families with a shared purpose: to support the next generation as they discover who they are and what they want to create in the world. We will continue to show up in spaces where young people are being empowered, encouraged, and seen.

At Miller Personal Injury Attorneys, we are deeply committed to supporting survivors and advocating for those whose voices are often marginalized. That’s why we were proud to support the Hope & Healing: Empowering Women, Inspiring Futures fundraiser and supply drive, in honor of International Women’s Month.

Organized by REPS & STEPS, this fundraiser brought the community together for an afternoon of movement and a mission to raise money for The Cupcake Girls, a non-profit providing trauma-informed support and essential resources to survivors of sex trafficking and marginalized sex workers, and for The Wellness Box Foundation, a non-profit providing vital supplies for women facing period poverty.

As a former board member for The Cupcake Girls, this event held special meaning for me personally as I’ve seen firsthand the impact this organization has on the lives of survivors, by empowering them through access to healthcare, safe housing, legal advocacy, and emotional support. As an attorney and community advocate, it’s important to me to be actively involved in efforts that not only seek justice, but also promote healing, dignity, and long-term support. We’re grateful to have been part of this meaningful event and will continue to stand alongside those doing the work to create lasting change.
